Hair care products

Hi everyone! I thought I’d share what I do to look after my hair. I’m in no means a hair expert but I thought I’d share which products I like to use! So here we go:

Firstly I thought I’d start with washing your hair. I currently have been loving the Herbal Essences Morrocon my shine shampoo and conditioner – they smell amaing and I think these make my hair extra smooth and they smell lovely for ages! They are also really affordable at £3.50 but can usually be found for half price in places such as boots.

Between shampoo and conditioner about twice a week I use the Lee Stafford hair growth treatment. I really think this products help the condition of my hair and so far I think it’s helping hair growth. It defiantly gives a deep condition of the hair and I think it’s worth the money. It’s not the cheapest product priced at £8.49 but there are usually offers such as 2 for £10 or 3 for 2 which make it better value.

When my hair is damp I use Garnier Ultimate Blends strength restorer serum. I’ve been using this product for a few months now and I think it is benefitting my hair, it smells incredible not too sweet just subtle honey and almond. It’s made my hair smoother and less frizzy with less noticeable split ends. It’s priced at £4.99 for 50ml which I think is good value as I think it’s great reducing split ends and frizz.

I usually let my hair dry naturally so don’t use heat protectant then however I use heat protectant whenever I straighten my hair. I use the Tresemme Keratin Smooth Heat Protection Shine Spray, I don’t really know how I feel about this product as I straighten my hair on a very irregular basis and haven’t used any other heat protectants. So I don’t feel I can give an accurate review. I think there are better heat protectants on the market but I’m still yet to find them.

The final product I use is the John Frieda Frizz-Ease Dream Curls Daily Styling Spray. I’ve used this product for about a year now and find it ideal for days when when my hair is looking flat and frizzy, I think it ‘tames’ it. It is normally priced at £4.00 so I would recommend it for anyone with curly, frizzy hair.

There we go! My current hair care products. I hoped you found this post helpful.

What are your favourite hair care products? I’d love to know!

The perfect smokey eye pallete

Hi everyone! I thought I’d just share my all time favourite eyeshadow pallete with you. I absolutely adore the variety of colours, without them being too extreme. The pallete which has become my all time favourite is the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette. I know it’s rather pricey for a pallete (£38) but I think it’s defiantly worth it considering they are highly pigments with a variety of shades both matte and shimmery. I don’t usually use particularly creative and colourful eyeshadows, I mainly just use a more neutral pallete so this is perfect for me. I use this pallete every single day therefore I can justify the purchase. I’ve included a couple of photos so you can get an idea of the colours.

However I understand many don’t want to spend lots of money on make up therefore I’ve also found a drugstore version which I’ve also tried and tested; the Sleek Storm eyeshadow pallete. The colours in this pallete are highly pigmented and it is a great dupe for the Naked 2 pallete. I hope some of you find this helpful!

Clinique 3 step anti-blemish

I thought I’d review the Clinique 3 step anti-blemish set. I have really enjoyed using these products and I feel it has given me a good foundation to try and get my skincare regime under control. Before I had no real structure with skincare and no consistency; desperately trying multiple products to try and clear my acne.

I have tried endless numbers of products from every price range and have even been prescribed antibiotics in hope to clear my skin; every single one failing to some extent. I have found the Clinique 3 step to be one of the more successful products; it most definitely helps keep my skin under control and helps prevent breakouts. However I also cut dairy out of my diet at the same time as I started using Clinique so it may be a due to that too. I have used these products for a month now and I will be repurchasing them as I think they’re definitely worth the money. The face wash is suited to sensitive skin as it doesn’t inflame your skin at all like others can. I think the toner is also beneficial and this was a new step for me as prior to this I didn’t use toner, however as part of the 3 step I feel it plays an important part in ensuring a path to clearer skin. The moisturiser is light and doesn’t clog pores; which is a must for me. The products don’t dry your skin which is surprising for acne treating products. I think this really helps as if products dry your skin out excessively your skin tries to produce more oil due to this hence possibly causing a breakout.

Overall I’m very happy with the products from Clinique and I’d highly recommend them. I know how difficult it is having problematic skin and all you want is for something to help. My skin is by no means clear, but I’d say it’s progressively getting better and for me that’s a step in the right direction! Hope this helps some of you!

Lush Happy Daze Review

LUSH HAPPY DAZE REVIEW

I recently went out and purchased the Lush Happy Daze gift set so I’d thought I might as well review it! The gift box contains 4 items; Granny Takes A Dip, Brightside Mini, The Comforter Mini and Fizzbanger.

First of all the bath bombs; Granny Takes A Dip and Fizzbanger. Granny Takes A Dip is a colourful circular bath bomb with a fresh lemon and ginger scent. Fizzbanger is a bright yellow bath bomb with a citrus scent.

This set also included 2 bubble bars, Brightside and The Comforter both in mini versions which are adorable! Brightside has a strong lemon and orange scent with is one of my favourites, so I’m super excited to use this. The Comforter is an all time favourite of mine, with the sweet blackcurrant scent.

I will post pictures as and when I use them to show how they turn your bath into a magical heaven!
