My Favourite Budget Beauty Products

Hi everyone! How are you all doing? I can’t believe I’ve managed to keep up my blog this long but how can I not when you are all so supportive! Right lets get started, make up is expensive that’s a fact so I thought I’d share my favourite drugstore beauty products with you to help you find great products for a fraction of the high end price!

I’ll split them into categories:

  • Primer – my favourite primer is the Maybelline Primer called Baby Skin. I really love this primer and think it’s a great dupe for the Benefit porefessional. It helps keep my make up on all day and prevents in sliding south down my face!
  • Foundation – this has to be the Revlon Colourstay foundation. I love the number of shades and options you have with this foundation; I think this is the drugstore foundation with the most colour options, which is great (especially for my very pale skin!) and it also has 2 types for different skin types; the options being oily/combination and dry/combination. It stays on my face all day and it is a good coverage.
  • Concealer – I know I’ve spoken about this a million times however I have to mention the Collection lasting perfection concealer; I won’t say anything more than this but you should try it and see for yourself!
  • Eyeshadow – I love eyeshadow, I really feel its the part of my make up I can really express myself in. My favourite drugstore palette has to be from Sleek; they have so many colours and they are all so highly pigmented, I’d rate it similarly to my Naked 2 palette and thats high praise!
  • Eyeliner – I don’t usually wear eyeliner but if I do its the Rimmel exaggerate liquid eyeliner; I find its the easiest one to put on and lasts all day. I’m not the best to suggest eyeliner as I haven’t tried many for comparison but I do love this one!
  • Mascara – this is a very tricky one as I have never loved a mascara but my favourite one probably is Maybelline falsies as this is the best one I’ve tried; it gave my lashes great length and curl.
  • Brows – on days where I want a more natural brow look I just run some Maybelline brow dram through my brows and I’m good to go; it instantly makes my brows look thicker and put together and I’m ready to go!
  • Powder – I love a good powder, especially as I get an oily T-zone throughout the day. I always seem to go to my Rimmel stay matte pressed powder, this is the powder I always seem to go to and it keeps my make up set in place; exactly what I want.
  • Contour – If I decide to contour my face without a doubt I’ll use my sleek contour kit in fair. I contains a gorgeous matte brown and a perfect natural pink for blush then a shimmery highlight. What more could you need! They’re all very pigmented and ideal for an everyday look.
  • Lipstick/lipgloss – I have mentioned this lipstick so many times  but I want to share it with as many people as possible its the Loreal colour riche lipstick in sparkling amethyst – just go have a quick google, you won’t be able to resist it!

I just want to thank you all for all your support with my blog, I really appreciate it! Please let me know which mascaras are your favourite and if you have tried any of these products.

My everyday makeup

Hi everyone! Hope you’ll all well, today I’m going to be sharing my everyday make up. Here are all the products I use:

  1. First off I start with a primer – I use the Baby Skin primer by Maybelline. I think this is a great primer and a good dupe for Benefits porefessional.
  2. Then I go on with my foundation – Clinique Anti-blemish liquid foundation (I have previously reviewed this so this link will be here)
  3. Once I have my foundation on I do my eyeshadow using the Naked 2 pallete (also reviewed here)
  4. I then proceed to use the Naked 2 pallete in the shade ‘Tease’ to fill in my eyebrows
  5. Once I’ve filled in my eyebrows I use the Maybelline Browdrama to set my brows in place
  6. I then curl my eyelashes and use Maybelline the rocket volume express mascara
  7. Then it’s onto concealer – I use the Collection concealer and Mac Pro longwear  concealer hand in hand to cover under eye circles and blemishes (both reviewed here)
  8. Once this is complete I set my face using the Rimmel stay matte powder (which as you can see from the photo is very loved) at this stage I also would contour however I don’t usually contour on a everyday basis but if I was I’d use the Sleek contour pallete
  9. Finally I pop on some lipstick – I chose the Loreal colour riche lipstick in Striking Amythest (for my other go to lipsticks go here)

And that’s it! I’m ready for the day. I hope you found this is someway helpful!

What are your everyday products? Do you use any of these? Let me know in the comments below, I really do appreciate it.

Lipstick

Hi everyone! I hope you’re well and prepared for another week ahead of us. I though it share my go to lipsticks throughout summer.

I have 3 different brands of lipstick so let’s get started.

The first brand in going to talk about is Mac, I actually only have the one Mac lipstick however it is very loved! The shade I have is Hot Gossip and it is a cremesheen lipstick. Mac lipsticks are excellent quality, with high pigmentation, long lasting and the packaging is gorgeous! I would highly recommend Mac lipsticks despite them being a bit pricey at £15.50 but I definitely think you get what you pay for.

The next lipsticks I’m going to talk about are the Maybelline coloursensational lipsticks. I bought 3 shades a few months ago when they were on 3 for 2. I love all 3 shades and I find the lipsticks moisturising and long wearing. I’d highly recommend these as a more affordable drugstore lipstick at £6.99 (currently at Boots 2 for £10) The shades on the picture below from left to right are 150 Stellar Pink, 245 Magic Mauve, 832 Kiss Pearl.

My final lipstick in going to mention is the Loreal colour riche I love this lipstick mainly due to the shade (spiking Amythest), it’s the prettiest sparkling purple shade! I adore it. It looks really high quality in the packaging and I can say that the product is also high quality, and very affordable at only £6.99. It is long lasting and I get endless amounts of comments on the colour! I couldn’t not share this with you all, I think it’s a gem!

I hope this has been of some help. What are your favourite lipsticks? I’m looking to expand my lipstick collection so it would be really helpful to have some recommendations.

The perfect smokey eye pallete

Hi everyone! I thought I’d just share my all time favourite eyeshadow pallete with you. I absolutely adore the variety of colours, without them being too extreme. The pallete which has become my all time favourite is the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette. I know it’s rather pricey for a pallete (£38) but I think it’s defiantly worth it considering they are highly pigments with a variety of shades both matte and shimmery. I don’t usually use particularly creative and colourful eyeshadows, I mainly just use a more neutral pallete so this is perfect for me. I use this pallete every single day therefore I can justify the purchase. I’ve included a couple of photos so you can get an idea of the colours.

However I understand many don’t want to spend lots of money on make up therefore I’ve also found a drugstore version which I’ve also tried and tested; the Sleek Storm eyeshadow pallete. The colours in this pallete are highly pigmented and it is a great dupe for the Naked 2 pallete. I hope some of you find this helpful!

Clinique 3 step anti-blemish

I thought I’d review the Clinique 3 step anti-blemish set. I have really enjoyed using these products and I feel it has given me a good foundation to try and get my skincare regime under control. Before I had no real structure with skincare and no consistency; desperately trying multiple products to try and clear my acne.

I have tried endless numbers of products from every price range and have even been prescribed antibiotics in hope to clear my skin; every single one failing to some extent. I have found the Clinique 3 step to be one of the more successful products; it most definitely helps keep my skin under control and helps prevent breakouts. However I also cut dairy out of my diet at the same time as I started using Clinique so it may be a due to that too. I have used these products for a month now and I will be repurchasing them as I think they’re definitely worth the money. The face wash is suited to sensitive skin as it doesn’t inflame your skin at all like others can. I think the toner is also beneficial and this was a new step for me as prior to this I didn’t use toner, however as part of the 3 step I feel it plays an important part in ensuring a path to clearer skin. The moisturiser is light and doesn’t clog pores; which is a must for me. The products don’t dry your skin which is surprising for acne treating products. I think this really helps as if products dry your skin out excessively your skin tries to produce more oil due to this hence possibly causing a breakout.

Overall I’m very happy with the products from Clinique and I’d highly recommend them. I know how difficult it is having problematic skin and all you want is for something to help. My skin is by no means clear, but I’d say it’s progressively getting better and for me that’s a step in the right direction! Hope this helps some of you!

Lush Happy Daze Review

LUSH HAPPY DAZE REVIEW

I recently went out and purchased the Lush Happy Daze gift set so I’d thought I might as well review it! The gift box contains 4 items; Granny Takes A Dip, Brightside Mini, The Comforter Mini and Fizzbanger.

First of all the bath bombs; Granny Takes A Dip and Fizzbanger. Granny Takes A Dip is a colourful circular bath bomb with a fresh lemon and ginger scent. Fizzbanger is a bright yellow bath bomb with a citrus scent.

This set also included 2 bubble bars, Brightside and The Comforter both in mini versions which are adorable! Brightside has a strong lemon and orange scent with is one of my favourites, so I’m super excited to use this. The Comforter is an all time favourite of mine, with the sweet blackcurrant scent.

I will post pictures as and when I use them to show how they turn your bath into a magical heaven!
